Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists

If you anticipate or are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, CentraState can provide the reassurance you need in planning for a healthy delivery. We understand that every pregnancy is unique, and some require specialized attention and care. That’s why CentraState’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine Program provides a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team of maternal-fetal medicine specialists, genetic counselors, and ultrasound technicians to meet your needs.

Our maternal-fetal medicine specialists work with women to manage high-risk prenatal issues, including:

  • Multiple gestations
  • Diabetes
  • Hypertension/pre-eclampsia
  • Cervical abnormalities
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Complex medical problems

Neonatologists

Our neonatologists are specialized pediatricians dedicated to the care of newborns in the hospital. They work with obstetricians and pediatricians to provide the highest quality of care to babies with special needs, and reduce risk and stress for both newborns and their mothers.

Neonatologists staff CentraState’s maternity center 24/7 and are always present during c-sections and high risk deliveries. When any issues arise following a delivery, they are immediately available to provide their expertise. They may also work with your pediatrician to detect any chronic problems during continuing care in the hospital.

Neonatologists work in partnership with your doctors to manage urgent care situations including:

  • Premature birth
  • Respiratory issues
  • Electrolyte deficiency and dehydration
  • Infectious diseases
  • Infant apnea
  • Hearing issues

Pediatricians

When it comes to your child’s health, you want the best care possible and choosing a pediatrician is one of the most first important decisions that you can make for your child.

If you are pregnant, it’s a good idea to find a pediatrician you’re comfortable with before your baby is due. Set up a consultation to ask questions and find a pediatrician that’s right for you and your family.
